The Lee Barnes Stadium Track Renovation

The K-12 Foundation is proud to support LHCSD#1 with a “Dare to Dream” project from one of the high school students.  Lauren Dukes, a high school sophomore participated in the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) program and from that her “Dream” was started.  She brought forth the idea of renovating the high school track, as it is in serious disrepair and it is now time to fix it.  Through a couple of meetings with key stakeholders and interested individuals and groups, the project is underway and has a new name:  “The Lee Barnes Stadium Renovation”.

A contracting company has been charged with giving a rough estimate of things that need to be done, along with the associated costs.  After the first meeting they were asked to prepare a “menu” type of estimate and cost quote for the various aspects of the project, in order to allow the project to be implemented and continued based upon fundraising results.

The K-12 Foundation has board members participating in the meetings, the fundraising planning and now through our website to assist in collecting and dispersing the money raised through our 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Please consider donating to this worthwhile project by clicking on the button below.

If you would like further information on this project, or would like to assist in the fundraising efforts, please contact the LHUSD #1 district office at (928) 505-6900 and they will direct you to the appropriate people for this project.
